An Alternative Method to Develop Embroidery Textile Strain Sensors

In this paper, a method to develop embroidered textile strain resistive sensors is presented. The based on two overlapped zigzag conductive yarn patterns in an elastic textile. To demonstrate the functionality of proposed configuration, sensor with conductor composed 99% pure silver-plated nylon 140/17 dtex has been experimentally characterised for elongation range from 0% 65%. order show applicability, second test knee-pad done evaluate flexion knee angle 180° 300°. experimental results usefulness fabric that can help manufacture commercial applications healthcare sector.
